Reggae Afrika SoundSystem Launch

2011 has finally brought the culmination of co-existence between the best selektas, artists, engineers and promoters in the broader South African region. A selection of the experienced,professional and active individuals who aim to combine their resources and take the Reggae/Dancehall scene to new heights. The mission is to create an international quality platform for local artists to reach the masses whereby creating a economically viable live  Reggae circuit . The Reggae Afrika Soundsystem is the first such step.

Headed by Craig Davis a.k.a. Ras Danamite(2Sevens Soundsystem) a pioneer of the Cape Town scene with over 15 years DJing and engineering experience alongside Ras Teba Shumba a.k.a. the OriJahnal Social Worker an acomplished South African and International Artist. Their aim is to bring international quality events to the SADC region by using their vast network in the music fraternity to create a working collaboration between industry role players, artist, sponsors and promoters.

Under the banner of "ONE LOVE IN AFRIKA" they spread a positive message through the music synonymous with the Rastafari influenced music genre. All the top local reggae/dancehall artists eg. Black Dillenger, Sugah, Ginjah, Ras Teba, JJ Al Capone and many  will be on rotation with the selektas. The Sons of Selassie will be the official live band representing the Reggae Afrika Crew.

 The launch will be held on the first week of March 2011. Venue to be announced.

A Better Tommorrow

South Africa's top contemporary reggae artist Black Dillinger will be releasing his third album " A Better Tomorrow " in February 2011. Produced by Richevibes in Austria during 2010 it sees Black Dillinger mature as an artist after his numerous trips abroad performing with some of the Reggae greats like Beres Hammond, Tony Rebel, Luciano and Gentleman amongst many more .

Born in Gugulethu, Cape Town, South Africa he is now based in Berlin, Germany Reggae's second home outside of Jamaica. Hailing from the legendary Chronic Clan led by Zolile Matinka a.k.a. Zorro , Dillinger found his calling in life to spread a positive message through music. He embraced the faith of Rastafari in the late nineties as a teenager and has been a true ambassador ever since. His music is available on-line and the new album will be released in all local music stores.
